The Darlington Golf Club’s PGA Professional Team is operated by Golfex who, together with his team, provide a complete service at the Professional Shop and reception.

Greetings Members of Darlington Golf Club,
I’m delighted to be writing to you ahead of GolfEx officially taking over the Professional Shop on 1st February. I’m hugely excited to get started, meet many of you for the first time, and see a few familiar faces along the way.
At the time of writing, the shop is coming together really well. The main displays are largely in place, with just a few finishing touches being completed ahead of opening.
You may notice that some of the very latest 2026 pre-order stock will arrive gradually during February and March. This delivery schedule was always planned for this time of year, so you’ll see the shop continue to grow week by week as new product lands. During this period, and while my notice period concludes at Richmond Golf Club at the end of March, stock will be split fairly between the two locations to honour existing member commitments.
What to expect from GolfEx
For those who may not yet know GolfEx, we offer everything you would expect from a modern professional shop — and a little more besides.
Alongside new equipment, Darlington will also become a physical hub for our second-hand golf business, offering an extensive range of pre-owned clubs across all price points. This includes the ability to retrofit different shafts, allowing golfers to save money without compromising on performance.

In addition, our second-hand range spans virtually every major manufacturer, giving members plenty of choice whether upgrading, experimenting, or building a custom solution on a budget.
Coaching, fitting & services
Our online booking system is currently being finalised and will be shared with members ahead of opening. Through this system, you’ll be able to book:
Golf lessons (coaching team to be announced shortly)
New club fitting
Second-hand club fitting
Putter fitting
Ball fitting
Loft & lie adjustments
